Russet Potato Recipes

  1. Baked Potato Wedges 

    Cut russet potatoes into thin wedges and toss them with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Bake

     them in the oven at 425°F for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through. Serve 


  2. Loaded Potato Skins 

     Cut russet potatoes in half and scoop out the flesh. Brush the skins with olive oil and bake

     at 400°F for 15 minutes. Fill the skins with cooked bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, and 

    sour cream. Bake for an additional 9 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.


  3. Potato Gratin 

     Thinly slice russet potatoes and layer them in a baking dish. Mix together heavy cream,

     minced garlic, and shredded Gruyere cheese, and pour over the potatoes. Bake in the 

    oven at 375°F for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.

  4. Potato Soup 

    Peel and chop russet potatoes and sauté them in a pot with chopped onions and garlic

    . Add chicken or vegetable broth and simmer until the potatoes are soft. Use an immersion 

    blender to puree the soup until it's smooth. Stir in heavy cream and season with salt and

     pepper.

  5. Mashed Potatoes

     Peel and boil russet potatoes until they're soft. Drain them and mash with butter, milk, and

     salt. For extra flavor, stir in shredded cheddar cheese or chopped fresh herbs.

  6. Hash Browns Grate russet potatoes and squeeze out any excess moisture. Season with 

    salt and pepper and fry in a skillet with oil until crispy and golden brown. Serve with eggs

     and bacon for a classic breakfast.

  7. Potato Salad 

    Boil russet potatoes until they're tender, then chop them into bite-sized pieces. Toss with

     chopped celery, red onion and hard-boiled egg.. Mix together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard,

     and apple cider vinegar, and pour over the potato mixture. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  8. Shepherd's Pie 

    Brown ground beef or lamb in a skillet with chopped onions and carrots. Add tomato paste

     and beef or vegetable broth and simmer until the mixture thickens. Spread the mixture in

     the bottom of a baking dish and top with mashed russet potatoes. Bake in the oven at 375°F 

    for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.

  9. Potato Croquettes Mash 


    boiled russet potatoes with breadcrumbs, chopped parsley, and grated Parmesan cheese.

     Form into small balls or croquettes and fry in hot oil until crispy and golden brown. 

  10. Roasted Potatoes 

     Cut russet potatoes into bite-sized pieces and toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any other

     seasonings you like (such as garlic powder or dried herbs). Roast in the oven at 425°F

     for 30-35 minutes, or until crispy and golden brown. Serve as a side dish or snack.

  11. Spread the mixture in the bottom of a baking dish and top with mashed russet potatoes.
